Singapore 2010 Youth Olympics

On Saturday, Singapore welcomed young athletes from around the world in a ceremony opening the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. This is the first ever Summer Youth Olympics, an event designed to be celebrated in the same tradition of the Olympic Games – the major difference being that the competitors are all between 14 and 18 years of age. This year, 3,500 athletes from more than 200 countries are competing in 184 events in 26 sports. ေျမာက္အတၱလႏၲိတ္ သမုဒၵရာတြင္းရွိ ဘာေဘးဒိုး ကြ်န္းႏုိင္ငံၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ ဘရစ္ဂ်္ေတာင္းတြင္ စက္တင္ဘာ ၆ ရက္မွ ၁၉  ရက္အထိ AIBA က ျပဳလုပ္က်င္းပမည့္ ၆ ၾကိမ္ေျမာက္ ကမၻာ့အမ်ိဳးသမီး လက္ေဝွ႔ ခ်န္ပီယံ ၿပိဳင္ပြဲတြင္ ျမန္္မာ့လက္ေရြးစင္ မၾကဴၾကဴသင္းႏွင့္ မႏွင္းမို႔မို႔ႏိုင္တို႔ ဝင္ၿပိဳင္မည္ၿဖစ္ဟု သိရသည္။

မၾကဴၾကဴသင္း က ၄၈ ကီလုိတန္းတြင္ ဝင္ေရာက္ ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္မည္ျဖစ္ၿပီး မႏွင္းမို႔မို႔ႏုိင္က ၅၁ ကီလိုတန္း ဝင္ၿပိဳင္မည္ျဖစ္ကာ နည္းျပအျဖစ္ ဦးတင္ေမာင္ေဖက တာဝန္ယူထားသည္။

သုိ႔ေသာ္လည္း ျပိဳင္ပြဲ အေတြ႔အႀကံဳကိုရေရး အဓိကထား၍ သြားေရာက္ယွဥ္ၿပိဳင္မွာ ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံ လက္ေဝွ႔အဖြဲ႔ခ်ဳပ္ အတြင္းေရးမႉး ဦးတင္လိႈင္က ေျပာသည္။

“က်ေနာ္တို႔အေနနဲ႔ ေရႊ၊ ေငြ၊ ေၾကးတို႔ဆိုတဲ့ တံဆိပ္ေတြက အခ်ိန္နည္းနည္းေတာ့ ယူရအံုးမယ္ ” ဟု ဦးတင္လႈိင္က ဆိုသည္။

General Motors’ first-half sales in China surpassed those in the United States for the first time as the world’s fastest-growing major economy propelled global auto demand.

Sales in China by GM and its joint ventures totaled 1.21 million vehicles in the six months ended June 30, topping U.S. deliveries of 1.08 million, based on figures reported separately by the Detroit-based company. This would be the first time any overseas market has “consistently outsold” GM’s domestic market in the carmaker’s 102-year-old history, said Michael Albano, a Shanghai-based spokesman.
