HOW YOU FIND ONE OF THE CONSTITUTION LAWS OF 2008

8:50 am in Law & Legal Information, Politics, Issues by fatty

Actually I do not understand the politic too much, but one of the constitution laws means like this ; -

……. For the governor, there must be no action whatever they do according to their duties ………

……..That means that if they arrest us, kill us, fire us, violence us when we, the ordinary people, ask for what we need , taking any action is not allowed.

……………. I have been considering about this law again and again …..

………. What did you find that law ! If somebody understands it well, I request to explain more clearly, please.

By BEN EVANS, Associated Press Writer – Tue Aug 3, 6:25 pm ET
WASHINGTON – Leading Republicans are joining a push to reconsider the constitutional amendment that grants automatic citizenship to people born in the United States.
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky said Tuesday he supports holding hearings on the 14th Amendment right, although he emphasized that Washington’s immigration focus should remain on border security.
His comments came as other Republicans in recent days have questioned or challenged birthright citizenship, embracing a cause that had largely been confined to the far right.
The senators include Arizona’s John McCain, the party’s 2008 presidential nominee; Arizona’s Jon Kyl, the Republicans’ second-ranking senator; Alabama’s Jeff Sessions, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, a leading negotiator on immigration legislation.
“I’m not sure exactly what the drafters of the (14th) amendment had in mind, but I doubt it was that somebody could fly in from Brazil and have a child and fly back home with that child, and that child is forever an American citizen,” Sessions said.
Legal experts say repealing the citizenship right can be done only through constitutional amendment, which would require approval by two-thirds majorities in both chambers of Congress and by three-fourths of the states. Legislation to amend the right, introduced previously in the House, has stalled.
The proposals are sure to appeal to conservative voters as immigration so far is playing a central role in November’s elections. They also could carry risks by alienating Hispanic voters and alarming moderates who could view constitutional challenges as extreme. Hispanics have become the largest minority group in the United States, and many are highly driven by the illegal immigrant debate.
McConnell and McCain seemed to recognize the risk by offering guarded statements Tuesday.
McCain, who faces a challenge from the right in his re-election bid, said he supports reviewing citizenship rights. He emphasized, however, that amending the Constitution is a serious matter.
“I believe that the Constitution is a strong, complete and carefully crafted document that has successfully governed our nation for centuries and any proposal to amend the Constitution should receive extensive and thoughtful consideration,” he said.
At a news conference, McConnell refused to endorse Graham’s suggestion that citizenship rights be repealed for children of illegal immigrants. While refusing to take questions, he suggested instead that he would look narrowly into reports of businesses that help immigrants arrange to have babies in the United States in order to win their children U.S. citizenship.
The 14th Amendment, adopted in 1868 in the aftermath of the Civil War, granted citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” including recently freed slaves.
Defenders of the amendment say altering it would weaken a fundamental American value while doing little to deter illegal immigration. They also say it would create bureaucratic hardships for parents giving birth.
Quoting a newspaper columnist, Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said Republicans were “either taking leave of their senses or their principles” in advocating repeal.
An estimated 10.8 million illegal immigrants were living in the U.S. as of January 2009, according to the Homeland Security Department. The Pew Hispanic Center estimates that as of 2008, there were 3.8 million illegal immigrants in this country whose children are U.S. citizens.

(USUALLY THIS HAPPENS WHEN THERE IS NO “COUNTER CHECK OR A “CHECK AND BALANCE SYSTEM.” FOOLISH PEOPLE  JUST TRUST SOMEBODY COMPLETELY. IT’S LIKE KEEPING THEIR DOORS ALWAYS OPEN AND INVITING PEOPLE TO STEAL.

SAME THING, THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH TRUSTED ITS MONKS. IT HOPED THOSE BAD MONKS WILL CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. HOWEVER, THE BAD MONKS JUST TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE HIGHER PRIESTS’ KINDNESS OR TRUST. THEY CONTINUE TO ABUSE MORE CHILDREN AT OTHER PLACES).

A lawsuit against the Vatican that had been dismissed as a publicity stunt moved forward when the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal from the Holy See. Monday’s development represents a significant advance for what many believed to be a long-shot claim that the Vatican bears legal responsibility for molester priests.

The high court’s decision not to stop the lawsuit means the clergy sex abuse case will go to trial in an Oregon district court.

The US Supreme Court on Monday declined to examine whether an Oregon resident who allegedly was sexually molested by a Roman Catholic priest as a teenager in the 1960s can sue the Vatican for his abuse. The move allows the litigation to move forward toward a trial.

College Tuition gone up. School taxes going up. Gas prices gone up. Sales taxes gone up. Medical costs up.  Time magazine shows the “Broken States of America.” What else is new?

Start saving for the children. Start saving for old age.

Don’t spend all what you have!

***(Even the California Taxpayers Association, usually fighting for taxpayers, now says HIGHER TAXES are unavoidable)***

1. Four Parajika Rules

Parajika is the name of the offence, and it also refers to the first four rules of Vinaya. It means “defeater” because it defeats a bhikkhu who breaks one of the most important four rules in the disciplinary code of the Sangha. When a bhikkhu violates one of the four rules, he is deprived of Buddhist monkhood and no longer a bhikkhu. He must be disrobed and return to lay life. He cannot be reordained a bhikkhu in his lifetime.

The Burmese military junta’s electoral laws for the general election to be held this year are part of a well-crafted strategy to ensure that the military keeps its stranglehold on the country and deeply entrenches itself under a civilian façade.

The principal target obviously was Aung San Suu Kyi and the strategy achieved her further isolation from the political process by effectively barring her from contesting the polls through clauses in its legislation aimed at excluding her.

EXPOSING GRAFT IN INDONESIA

Graft is rampant in some countries, even blatant and bold.

“It’s the custom, don’t you know? You must have been away (from the country) far too long,” a minor custom official allegedly said.

Witness Than Shwe’s daughter’s opulent wedding jewelry.

We need a free media to contain this scourge or culture. Some people didn’t stop to think. It’s stealing from the country’s coffers and from the impoverished people and their future.

We might need courageous “whistle blowers” like this Indonesian general. See article below:

Special Sales Tax Deduction for Car Purchases Available through End of 2009

6:39 pm in Business & Economics, Community & Society, Education, How To.., Law & Legal Information, U.S. News by Kyawhtin1

WASHINGTON — With 2010 models arriving in dealer showrooms, the Internal Revenue Service reminds taxpayers that purchasing a new car, light truck, motor home or motorcycle could qualify them for a special deduction for the state and local sales and excise taxes on their 2009 tax returns.

Purchases made before Jan. 1, 2010, will qualify for this deduction under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

The deduction is limited to the sales and excise taxes and similar fees paid on up to $49,500 of the purchase price of a new vehicle. The deduction is reduced for joint filers with modified adjusted gross incomes (MAGI) between $250,000 and $260,000 and other taxpayers with MAGI between $125,000 and $135,000. Taxpayers with higher incomes do not qualify.

Good timing could reap double tax credits

6:34 pm in Community & Society, Education, Law & Legal Information, U.S. News by Kyawhtin1

Some home buyers in California could get a federal tax credit worth up to $8,000 plus a new state credit worth up to $10,000 if they time their purchase just right over the next three months. But double-dipping will be tricky and won’t come without risks.

One couple who lucked out are Sibel Demirmen and Scott Henry of San Francisco, who are purchasing a home, their first, in San Rafael’s Terra Linda neighborhood.

They were planning to close escrow on April 30, and knew they qualified for an $8,000 federal home-buyer tax credit.

House Passes Historic Health Bill – WSJ.com

WASHINGTON—The biggest transformation of the U.S. health system in decades won approval on Capitol Hill late Sunday, the culmination of efforts by generations of Democrats to achieve near-universal health coverage.

Facing voters’ judgment in the fall, Democrats bet they could overcome public misgivings on a bill that reshapes one-sixth of the U.S. economy. The final battle on the House floor exposed again the divisions that have riven Congress and the nation over the past year.
